I am a Graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and enjoy spending time with my family, watching movies, and playing tournament poker. I have been at The Citadel for three years and enjoy working with the staff, faculty and the cadets on creating different and fun events involving food. I think the best day of the year is when we have the wing eating contest in the mess hall, there is so much excitement and listening to 2,100 cadets scream and cheer on their peers is "priceless".

As Controller for the Dining Services, I enjoy the atmosphere The Citadel offers. I obtained my Undergraduate Degree in Business Administration from The Citadel’s College of Professional Studies and am currently enrolled in their Graduate Program to obtain my MBA. I have over thirty years of business experience in the Charleston community and plan to teach evening college classes in the future. I enjoy family activities, movies and reading.

I am Lisa Montagna-Tharpe, Catering Manager for ARAMARK at the Citadel since November, 2008. I grew up in Greenville, SC, and moved to Charleston in 1995. I graduated from Clemson University with a B.S. in Management. I still consider myself a newlywed, although we were married on 2/24/2007. I am a competitive pool player and have been a member of the American Poolplayers Association since 1999. My favorite TV shows are "Lost", True Blood" and "Top Chef".
Rachel Sommer

Rachel Sommer is originally from Buffalo, New York and graduated from the College of Charleston. She joined The Citadel team in May of 2009 as a Catering Manager. Rachel enjoys meeting new people, going to the beach, and traveling.

I am a 2001 Graduate from Clemson University where I received a B.S. in Business Management with a Minor in Human Resources. I have been with Aramark since I was a freshman in college in 1997. I began my journey here, at the Citadel, in August of 2006 after staying at home with my two children for two years. I am a true Southern girl. I love the beach, water skiing, wide brim hats, shagging, sweet tea, Clemson football, but most of all….my children.
