Voluntary Meal Plans plus FlexDine Dollars were designed to provide flexibility and convenience for those with busy campus lifestyles. Voluntary Meal Plans, meals and FlexDine dollars can be used at anytime during the academic year**, however expire at the end of the academic year. You are not restricted to using an allotted number of meals per week or quarter, but rather, you have the entire academic year to enjoy your meal plan. If at anytime during the academic year, you run out of meals, then you may simply purchase another meal plan. Please note, Voluntary Meal Plans expire June 12, 2009.

FlexDIne Dollars are sold in conjunction with Voluntary Meal Plans ONLY, and therefore expire at the same time - end of the academic year. They offer variety, flexibility, and convenience to your meal plan. Flex Dollars work just like a debit card and are loaded onto your student ID card, along with your meals.

Voluntary Meal Plans are available for purchase by ANYONE, including: UCI students and their families, staff, faculty, and community members.

If you would like to treat a friend with your Voluntary Meal Plan, you will need to stop by the residential dining office to validate your Student ID.

Please choose the appropriate meal plan based on your class, study and work schedules. Once a dining membership plan is purchased there are no changes, refunds or cancelations. Non-payment does not constitute dining plan cancellation. Dining memberships are not transferable to others.

Zot Bucks work like a debit card, each time a purchase is made the cost of the purchase is subtracted from your account. Zot Bucks are convenient and your balance carries over year-to-year. Additional Zot Bucks can be purchased online or at:

Question: How do I know if I have a UCI Dining account established?  
Answer: If you've ever ordered anything (ie: meal plans, Zot Bucks, punch cards, etc.) from UCI Dining, then you have an account.
