PSU Students! Join the PSU Food Dude Team!
Join the PSU Food Dude Team! Have fun while building your resume with marketing and promotions experience with a Fortune 500 company. This part-time, on-campus position offers flexible hours ranging from 0 to 10 hours per week at $9.50 per hour.
The PSU Food Dudes help to educate their peers about dining services and, in turn, offers dining services a glimpse into the student experience with valuable feedback they hear from peers and friends.
SUMMARY: The peer-to-peer team member will assist in the overall sales plan for meal plans and declining balance by actively engaging parents and students
SCOPE: Reports to Marketing Manager, with daily reporting responsibilities to Team Leader.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Help achieve Meal Plan sales goals throughout the school orientation process via tabling and dining events, move-in period, with support to the business office.
2. Be an ambassador for Dining Services by interacting with parents, families and incoming first-year students who are attending a mandatory university orientation session; communicating details of meal plans, declining balance accounts, advantages for eating on campus, payment options, and general information about Dining Services.
3. Provide continuous support of dining activities by participation in dining events, meal plan / declining balance campaigns, secret shops, and soliciting student feedback.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Strong communication skills
· Retail, customer service or volunteer experience is a plus
· Ability to work well with others and be a team player
· Outgoing personality who enjoys interacting with others
· Positive attitude
· Current student of university
SUCCESS CRITERIA:
· Measurable sales performance
· Strong, positive interaction with parents and students
