Faculty and Staff Meal Plans FAQs

What are Block Meals and do they roll-over?
Block Meals let you enjoy all-you-care-to-eat breakfast, lunch and dinner in the Greenery. You receive a set number of meals based on the plan you select. When you eat in the Greenery, a meal is subtracted from your meal balance.
Your meals will roll over from quarter to quarter and expire at the end of the academic year.

What are Declining Balance Dollars (DB Dollars)?
Declining Balance Dollars work like an ATM or debit card and can be used at all Campus Dining locations for beverages, snacks or full meals for yourself and your friends. Whatever you buy, the total purchase is subtracted from your DB Dollars. When you pay with DB, you never pay tax.

Does Declining Balance expire?
DB rolls over from quarter-to-quarter and expires at the end of the academic year. You can add Declining Balance Dollars to your card any time here.

Can I treat a friend by using two block meals in a meal period?
Yes! You may use multiple swipes if you choose to.

What do I do if my Declining Balance Dollars run low?
Load up! You'll know your account balance because the register shows how many meals and/or Declining Balance Dollars you have left after each purchase. When you run low, you can add Declining Balance Dollars to your card any time here.
