Meal plans are perfect for students living on campus. No need to carry cash - just swipe your student ID and go!

If you reside in a room on campus that requires a meal plan, the housing office will automatically sign up you for the Gold Plan. Please visit the RAD Office to upgrade your primary plan from Gold to the plan of your choice.

When you purchase a meal plan you get:
  • Credit for a certain amount of full access meals (block meals) at The Greenery.
  • Declining Balance dollars (DB) which can be used at Einstein Bros. Bagels, The MarketPlace, The Greenery, P.O.D. Market, and The Alcove.
  • You can purchase more DB dollars at anytime throughout the academic year. Add-on DB is good through the final day of Spring Quarter.

    Residential Meal Plan FAQs

    What are Block Meals?
Block Meals let you enjoy all-you-care-to-eat breakfast, lunch and dinner in the Greenery. You receive a set number of meals based on the plan you
select. When you eat in the Greenery, a meal is subtracted from your meal balance.
All meal plans end with the last day of eval week each quarter, so please choose a plan that works best for you.

    Does Declining Balance expire?
Declining Balance (DB) included in a meal plan expires at the end of each quarter. Add-on DB rolls over from quarter-to-quarter and expires at the end of Spring Quarter. You can add DB online, any time here.

Can I change my meal plan?
Absolutely! For mandatory meal plans, you can adjust your meal plan during the first two weeks of Fall quarter and the first week of Spring and Winter. Simply go to the Residential and Dining Services office located in A-Building to change your plan.

Can I treat a friend by using two Block Meals in a meal period?
You are the only person allowed to use your Block Meals. If you would like to treat a friend, you may pay for their meal using your Declining Balance or guest passes. (Guest passes have no monetary value and do not roll over from quarter-to-quarter.)

What do I do if my Declining Balance run low?
LOAD UP! You’ll know your account balance because the register shows you how many meals and DB you have left after each purchase. If you run low, you can add to your account online here or visit us in the Campus Dining office in the Greenery.

If you have further questions about Meal Plans or the dining contract, please visit the Residential and Dining Services website.
