What are Block Meals?

Block Meals let you enjoy all-you-care-to-eat dining in our campus restaurants. You receive a set number of meals based on the plan you select. When you eat in a restaurant, a meal is subtracted from your meal balance.

What are Declining Balance Dollars (DB Dollars)?

Declining Balance Dollars work like an ATM or debit card. Use your Declining Balance account for beverages, snacks or full meals for yourself and your friends. Whatever you buy, the total purchase is subtracted from your Dining Plan Dollars. You can add Declining Balance Dollars to your card any time.

Can I change my dining membership?

Absolutely! We want you to have the best plan for you. You can adjust your dining membership during the first two weeks of the term. Simply go to the Student Accounts Office to change your plan.

Can I treat a friend by using two "meals" in a meal period?

You are the only person allowed to use your "meals" and you can only use one meal per meal period. If you would like to treat a friend, you may pay for their meal using your Declining Balance Dollars.

What do I do if my Declining Balance Dollars run low?

Load up! You'll know your account balance because the register shows how many meals and/or Declining Balance Dollars you have left after each purchase. If you run low, you can add to your account using cash, check, money order or credit card. Simply go to the Evergreen Cashier's Office to add to your meal plan.

How do I sign up?

Student Accounts can answer any of your questions and help you decide which meal plan best suits your needs. If you are a Housing resident with less than 40 credits at the start of Fall quarter, you will be automatically enrolled in a mandatory plan. Your Evergreen ID card will have to be activated by the Student Accounts Office before you can use your meal plan.
