Meal Plans - Resident Plans
I live on campus… What are my Dining Membership Choices?
Residents of on-campus housing at Hunt Hall, North or Daughtery have three choices when choosing their dining membership! All of the Memberships include a combination of Meals and Flex Funds to increase the dining options of EOU students!
Residents in Alikut hall are not required to purchase a dining membership, but we encourage you to participate in all the fun we are having! If you do not need an entire plan try a smaller commuter plan or purchase Mountaineer Bucks! Purchasing commuter plans for on-campus housing is NOT an available option for North, Hunt, and Daughtery Halls.
EOU Meals
Eastern Oregon University offers three basic plans for students living in on-campus housing. Each of these plans contains a pre-specified meal number for you to enjoy per term. This specified meal number gives you the opportunity to enjoy dining at Mountie Café’s all-you-care-to-eat lunch and dinner, dining facility located on the second floor in Hoke Union Building. You may also choose to use these meals in Mac’s Grill for breakfast on specified entrees. Each time you eat at Mountie Café or purchase one of our specified entrees for breakfast in Mac’s Grill, one meal is subtracted from your balance. You may choose the number of meals based on your desired eating habits and academic schedule. Plans may be changed in the first two weeks of each term.
Flex Funds (Flex) or Mountaineer Bucks
All of the residential dining membership choices include Flex Funds (Flex). Flex Funds are accepted like cash at Mac’s Grill, for catering purchases, Bear Mountain Delivery Pizza Program and for additional or guest meals at Mountie Café in Hoke Union Building. Flex works the same as an ATM or debit card. You can draw your Flex for beverages, snacks or full meals for you and your friends at anytime. Whenever you purchase a meal on campus, the total amount of your purchase is subtracted from your dining membership dollars (Flex) and you can add additional Mountaineer Bucks to your card at any time. Please note the main differences between Flex and Mountaineer Bucks is: Flex Funds expire on the last day of every term. Mountaineer Bucks expire on the last day of spring term. Mountaineer Bucks are also the only option to add additional money to your plan when your funds are low.
