March 2009Boise State University placed 10th in the Grand Champion category in Recyclemania 2009 Benchmark Competition! University Dining & BSU's Sustainability Department partnered up in 2009 to bring awareness to sustainability on campus and to help aid in the reduction of our/BSU's carbon footprint. What we've accomplished since:
- Partnership with Idaho Botanical Gardens to begin a composting program- Participated and won 10th place in Recyclemania 2009- Boise River Cafe went trayless, reducing the amount of waste, harsh chemicals and water used in the cleaning process- UDS went 'green' - all our to-go containers are sustainable and compostable, not to mention, made out of recycled material- UDS now has a "Green Stake" - of which you can learn more about how we are INVOLVED AND EVOLVING at http://www.involvedevolving.com/- To be continued...
