Meal Membership Information Dining at UTA will be convenient and valuable by choosing a meal plan best suited for your eating habits and schedule.  The meal plan lets you enjoy all-you-care-to-eat dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner in the Connection Cafe.  You receive a set number of meals per semester based on the plan you select.  When you eat in the Connection Cafe, a meal is subtracted from your meal balance.  In addition, each meal plan comes with a certain amount of Dining Dollars that can be used at the Connection cafe, the Plaza Food Court, Java City, the Cafe at the Arts, Starbucks, The Market, and other dining services locations. Commuter Plan- $310 plus tax 16 meals in the Connection Cafe plus 2 guest passes for the Connection Cafe to use on yourself or friends $200 Dining Dollars for the Plaza Food Court, Java City, Cafe at the Arts, Starbucks, The Market, and other dining services locations.   MAV Express (MAV Card) With a minimum deposit of $50, you can open an account on your MAV Card (Student ID Card) and stipulate funds as either MAV Money or Dining Dollars.  MAV Money works like an ATM card an can be used as payment anywhere on campus.  Dining Dollars also work like an ATM card, but are designed especially for food purchases at the Connection Cafe, the Plaza Food Court, Java City, Cafe at the Arts and the Market Convenience Store.  Each time you make a food purchase, the total cost of your meal is subtracted from the dollar balance in your account. Signing Up Meal plans can be purchased at the UTA Housing Office.  MAV Money can be purchased at anytime throughout the semester by adding money to your account at the MAV Express office located inside the University Center or at the Davis Hall Bursar Services office.
