Memberships come in many convenient shapes and sizes. The magnetic strip on your student ID card electronically identifies you as a dining plan member. By combining a "Weekly or Semester Meal Allowance" with "Declining Balance Dollars," you can customize a plan that's right for you.


Weekly or Semester Meal Allowance:
Enjoy all-you-care-to-eat dining for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in our residential restaurant. Receive a varying number of guaranteed meals per week or semester; each time you eat in the residential reasurant, one meal is subtracted from your weekly or semester's meal allowance.

Declining Balance & Jack Bucks 
  • Pay as you go.
  • Works like a bank debit card.
  • Make a purchase and the total is subtracted from the balance in your account.

Our Meal Plan Options

Resident Dining Memberships

  • 20 Meals in 7 Days - 20 Meals per week & $50 Declining Balance.
    For those who like three meals a day, this offers you 20 meals served weekly: breakfast, lunch, and dinner Monday through Sunday, up to 4 meals per day with a maximum of 1 meal per 30 minute period. (This plan in non-transferable)
  • 14 Meals in 7 Days - 14 Meals per week & $125 Declining Balance.
    Monday through Sunday, up to 4 meals per day with a maximum of 1 meal per 30 minute period. (This plan in non-transferable)
  • Block Plan - 210 Block & $75 Declining Balance
    This plan offers ultimate flexibility in dining. Dining members have 210 available meals per semester that may be redeemed with no delay between meals and no restriction on the number of meals per day. (This plan is transferable, but purchaser needs to be present)
  • Declining Balance & Jack Bucks
    Generally students add between $100 and $200 Jack Bucks to supplement their meal plan.  You can add more by logging into your account @ www.sfasu.edu.
     

Commuter Dining Memberships

  •     5 Meals in 5 Days - 5 Meals per week & $50 Declining Balance.
    For those who only have time for one meal a day, this offers you 5 meals per week: breakfast, lunch, and dinner Monday through Sunday, up to 1 meal per day.
  •     50 Meal Block - 50 Meals per semester & $50 Declining Balance.
    This plan offers a bit more flexibility.  You have 50 meals available for the semester.  There is no need to worry about missing meals per week, use these at your leisure throughout the semester.  Monday through Sunday, up to 4 meals per day.
  •     25 Meal Block - 25 Meals per semester & $100 Declining Balance.
    If it's declining balance that you prefer, this plan is for you!  You have 25 meals available for the semester, plus $100 in declining balance to use at any retail location.  Use this plan at your leisure throughout the semester.  Monday through Sunday, up to 4 meals per day.
