Meal Plans - Frequently Asked Questions

Can I carry over my unused meals to the next week?

  • Residents - It depends on which meal plan you have. If you have the Block 160 Plan or the Block 128 Plan, your meals can be used any way you like throughout the semester. However, if you have the Pack 19, Pack 15  or the Pack 12 Plan, the meals must be used in the week they’re assigned, and cannot be carried over to the next week. How flexible you want your meal plan to be is totally up to you, your eating habits and your schedule for that semester.

Can I change my Meal Plan?
Yes. For the first two weeks of each semester, if you find a meal plan isn’t working with your schedule as well as you thought it would, you can change your plan. Stop by the Campus Living Office and complete a Dining Membership Change Form. It’s that easy.

Can I treat a friend to a meal on my plan?

  • Residents - It depends on where you eat. Only you can use all-you-care-to-eat meals, one meal per period. But you can certainly treat a friend to a meal at any of our other dining facilities on campus using your Declining Balance Dollars.
  • Commuters - Only you can use all-you-care-to-eat meals, one meal per period. But you can certainly treat a friend to a meal at any of our other dining facilities on campus using your Declining Balance Dollars.

What do I do if my Declining Balance run low?
The same thing you do if your debit card balance runs low. Simply go to the Campus Living Office, tell them you want to replenish your Declining Balance and they’ll take care of you.

Do I loose my Declining Balance if I dont use it all?
Unused Declining Balance Dollars will transfer from semester to semester during the academic year. At the end of the academic year, any unused dollars remaining are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to the new academic year.

How do I sign up for a Dining Membership?
Just visit the Campus Living Office.
