Who can have a meal plan? Meal plans are available for all students, whether they live on or off campus, faculty and staff.
Are meal plans required? Only students living on campus in the residence halls (A. B. Morris, Adams, Barret, Edwards, Gardner, Mabee, McDonald, McKinzie, Nelson, Sikes and Smith Halls) are required to have a meal plan.
Am I restricted as to which plan I can select? For students living on campus in the residence halls:
- Freshmen must choose from plans A, B or C
- All other residents must choose from plans A, B, C or D
- Students living off campus, faculty and staff may choose from any plan.
How do I choose the right meal plan? First consider your eating style: do you want breakfast? Meal on the go? Lunch? Dinner? Meals on the weekend? Next look at your schedule: when are your classes? Will your job conflict?
Then using the comments under each meal plan, determine the appropriate meal plan for you. Remember, you can only change meal plans during the first six weeks of the semester or the first week of the summer term. Please see the How to Change or Cancel a Meal Plan page for more information.
How do I get a meal plan? If you are living in a residence hall, you will automatically be assigned Meal Plan B when you are assigned to your room for the fall semester. However, you can change to a different plan if you desire. Please see the How to Change or Cancel a Meal Plan page for more information. The plan you have during the fall will automatically roll over for the spring. Your student account will be billed for the meal plan at the beginning of the semester.
If you live off campus or are faculty or staff, you can buy a meal plan anytime by going to Student Administrative Services in The Depot in room 222 of the McGlothlin Campus Center. The meal plan will be billed to your student account.
If I buy Meal Plan E, F or G and I run out of Bean Bucks or meals before the end of the semester, can I buy another meal plan? Yes, you can buy as many E, F or G meal plans during the semester as you need.
What do I do if my Bean Bucks run low? You can add more to your account using cash, check or credit card by going to Student Administrative Services in The Depot in room 222 of the McGlothlin Campus Center.
How do I know how many meals and/or Bean Bucks are left on my account? The card reader at every dining location shows your balance after each purchase. In addition your balance is available on your welcome page on my ACU.
How do I change my meal plan selection? You may change your meal plan selection anytime during the first 12 days of class. Changes to meal plan selections can be made by going to Student Administrative Services in The Depot in room 222 of the McGlothlin Campus Center. |
