Our mission is to serve an abundance of healthy, nutrient-dense foods to the students, faculty, staff, and visitors who eat on campus each day. We are devoted to 100% customer satisfaction, and welcome all questions, suggestions and feedback regarding our menus, service, and programs.
Eating right is essential to getting the most out of life. We recognize that this can be a challenge on a college campus, and as a result we take eating well and educating our campus about proper nutrition seriously!
Campus dietitian, Kate Ruley, is a licensed registered dietitian. She graduated from Queens College with a Bachelor’s degree in biology, and then completed the Master’s program in nutrition from UNC-Greensboro. Kate has been on campus since 2002. In her six years here on campus, Kate has worked closely with our chefs, Student Health Services staff, faculty, and Athletics Department to meet the nutrition needs of everyone in the Wake Forest Community.
If you cannot find what you need within these pages, or feel you could benefit from a private individual consultation, please contact Kate to set up an appointment. All consultations are strictly confidential and free of charge. Kate’s specialties in nutrition include weight management, food allergies, sports nutrition, vegetarian/vegan eating, and eating disorders.
Many times, a group, athletic team, or other campus organization feels a need for nutrition education amongst its members. Kate is available to speak to such groups regarding a variety of topics upon request. Please feel free to contact her at 758-3087 or ruleykd@wfu.edu.
Community outreach is an important part of our philosophy at Wake Forest Dining. If you have a need for nutrition education off campus, Kate will honor as many of these requests as possible as well.
