If I do not use all my meals, do they carry over to the following week?
Since all meals are block meals that are available during the semester, you do not have a weekly number to use. Meal plans average about 16 meals per week, so you can budget your meals:
- 275 = ~17 meals per week
- 225 = ~14 meals per week
- 175 = ~10 meals per week
- 125 = ~7 meals per week
- 75 = ~ 4.5 meals per week
- 40 = ~ 2.5 meals per week
But you also have the flexibility to use more or less per week, based on your lifestyle or schedule. You do not lose meals at the end of the week if they are not used. Each time a meal is swiped, the balance will appear at the register.
What are Food Dollars? Food Dollars are a specific number of points that can be used in any campus dining location just like cash. The balance can be checked at any cash register. May I treat a friend by using my dining plan? Yes, dining plans include 2, 5, 8 or 10 guest meals per semester, depending on the meal plan selected. You can also use Food Dollars, Deacon Dollars, cash or credit cards to treat friends.
Where can I use my dining plan? You can use your dining plan in the Fresh Food Company, the Magnolia Room and the IS Building. Food Dollars, Deacon Dollars, cash and credit cards are accepted at the Benson Food Court, Starbucks, Subway and the Campus Convenience Stores. |
