Additional blocks of 10 meals may be added for the price listed below if you run out of meals before the end of the semester (may only be added within the same semester that the original plan was purchased in).  Your CamCard identifies you as a meal plan member and must be presented at each meal.  All students residing in the apartments and commuters are eligible for these plans.  When you purchase one of these plans, you will be automatically enrolled with your meal plan at the beginning of the Spring Semester unless you choose to purchase for Fall 2013 only.  There will be a 2 week period to cancel or change your plan.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:  Apartment Meal Plans (Fall 2013)

What meal plan can I purchase?
This depends on where you live and your class year.

If you live on-campus in The Oaks Apartments…
Students living on-campus in The Oaks Apartments may purchase one of our Apartment Meal Plans.  These plans are available
in blocks of 60, 40 and 20 meals per semester and include Dining Dollars.
Students in the Oaks are not required to purchase a meal plan.
When does the meal plan begin?
Meal Plans start on the first day the residence halls are open for each semester (Saturday, August 17th for Fall 2013 semester).
When does the meal plan end?
Dining Dollars and meal plans will expire on Thursday, December 12th.
Is Belk Dining Hall open over breaks?
Belk Dining Hall is closed for the following breaks: fall break, Thanksgiving weekend, Winter break, spring break and
    Easter weekend.
If I don’t use my meals each semester, will they roll over?
If you have an Apartment Meal Plan, meals must be used in the semester they’re purchased and cannot be carried over
to the next semester.  Your balance will reset at the start of each semester according to the meal plan chosen.
Will my unused Dining Dollars roll over to the next semester?
Unused Dining Dollars expire at the end of each semester (Thursday, December 12th).

If I purchase a meal plan is it for one semester or the entire year?

Apartment Meal Plans are a semester contract, not an annual contract.  If you wish to participate in a meal plan for both
the Fall and Spring semesters you must complete an enrollment form for each semester.

Can I change my meal plan?
Yes, changes may be made through the 10th day of classes for each semester.  Simply visit the accounting office to change your meal plan during this period (Tuesday, September 3rd for the Fall 2013 semester).
Can I cancel my meal plan?
    Meal plans are not refundable.
Why must I use my CamCard to eat?
Your CamCard identifies you as a meal plan participant. Without your CamCard, we are unable to access your account to verify
    your membership.
     Who can use my CamCard?
For your protection, meal plans are non-transferable. The only person authorized to use your CamCard is you.
What if I lose my CamCard?
Not to worry. Just report your lost card to the Campus Police Office at (919) 760-8888. Replacement cards may be obtained during regular hours for a nominal fee of $5.00.
Can I treat a friend by using “two” meals during a meal period?

If you have an Apartment Meal Plan, you may use one of your meals to treat someone else and may use more than one meal per meal period. If you would like to treat a friend, you may also pay for their meal with Dining Dollars.

What do I do if my Dining Dollars run low?
Simple! Just add to your account with cash, check, money order, credit card or charge to your student account. When you want to replenish your Dining Dollars, just go to the Accounting Office in Johnson Hall.

How do I add additional blocks of 10 meals?
Students who have an Apartment or Commuter Meal Plan can add additional blocks of 10 meals.  Fill out a form in either dining location or the Accounting Office.  The charge can be added to your student account.  Blocks of 10 meals may only be purchased after the purchase of an apartment or commuter meal plan within the same semester.

How do I sign up for a meal plan?
