A magnetic stripe on the back of your PalaCard (student ID card) works with our computer system to identify you as a dining plan member.

Block Meal Allowance

• Enjoy all-you-care-to-eat dining for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in our Fresh Food Company.

There is no limit on how many meals may be used per day – enter as many times as you have meal allowances remaining on your plan

Food Points - spend like cash in dollars and cents.

• Supplement weekly meal allowances

• Can be used in all of our service locations

• Works like a bank debit card; each time you make a purchase the total is subtracted from the balance in your account

Any remaining food points roll over from fall to spring term.  All points expire at the end of spring term.

After August 12, 2009, to change your meal plan assignment you must contact the Bursar's Office at ext. 2027. All change requests must be made at the beginning of the semester by the end of the third day of class. After this date, no changes will be made for the current semester. Please keep in mind that the assignment will be for the entire academic year.

Only unused food points transfer from fall to spring semester for students with an active meal plan. If a meal plan is cancelled during the academic year, any food points from a prior semester will be forfeited. At the end of Spring semster, unused food points and meals terminate and are not refundable nor transferrable to the new academic year.

Campus Cash

If food points just aren’t enough to satisfy your Einstein’s, Chick-Fil-A, and Moe’s cravings, you can add additional money to your account.  This Campus Cash spends the same as your food points, with one added bonus.  While food points expire at the end of the Spring term, Campus Cash does not.  Your Campus Cash balance will remain with you as long as you are enrolled at Furman.  Upon your exit from Furman, any remaining balance of Campus Cash will be refunded to you.  Campus Cash can be added by contacting the Student Business Center @ 864-294-2027.  This is NOT part of the Meal Plan, but is a nice addition to your dining options on campus.

Please note:   Food Points are part of the meal plan.  If a plan is cancelled, the Food Points will be cancelled as well including any points that have carried over from another term.  Food Points are never refundable as cash.  Please see the FAQs here or contact the Bursar's Office for more information on your specific situation.
