Meet the Manager!
Curtis S Carter, 37 years old! Curtis was born on December 16th and has been married 11 years in December. He is the Assistant Food Director here at Erskine College! If you see him around the dining hall or just want to talk, don't hesitate to go up to him or ask to see him!

Curtis grew up in Charleston, SC and went to Winthrop University for his undergraduate studies. From there, he went to Trident Technical Culinary School. After graduated TTCS, he went on to continue his culinary studies at the French Pastry School in Chicago, IL. From there Curtis went to the World Pastry Forum in Las Vegas, NV.
Curtis has 22 years experience in the field, having started at 15 years old. He has worked for such places as: Latitude Restaurant and Phoenix Inn, Soby’s Restaurant Group, and A.W. Shucks.
Curtis has been internationally recognized on many levels! His accomplishments include: Guest Chef at James Beard House in 2001 in NY city, Southern Pastry Classic (1st place hot dessert, honorable mention for best workmanship), ACF (Silver Medal for Sugar Showpieces, Bronze for plated desserts), 2003 and 2004 Chocolate Soiree Best Dessert, 2003 and 2004 Taste of the Nation Best Dessert, 2006 ACE Competition 2nd place, 2008 ACE Competition 2nd place, 2011 ACE Competition 2nd place
