What are Optional Paw Points, and why should I use them? Optional Paw Points are a prepaid declining-balance account that allows you to make purchases at all on-campus dining and convenience store locations. One Paw Point equals one dollar ... until you add up the savings. You get a 5% discount when you purchase Paw Points* plus a 7% tax exemption at on campus locations when you use them.
*Discount begins with $100
If I have a TigerStripe and Paw Point account, how does the dining location know what account do pull from when I make a purchase? For all students with either paw point or optional paw point accounts, the registers in all dining locations are set up to pull from those accounts first. Once the paw point or optional paw point accounts are empty, the registers will then pull from the TigerStripe account.
Where may I use my Optional Paw Points? Harcombe Dining Hall, Schilletter Dining Hall, The Clemson House, The Canteen, Eastside Food Court, Fernow Street Cafe, Chili's Too, Java City Cyber Cafe, Snax and Stax Convenience Store, Einstein Bros. Bagels, Seasons by the Lake Restaurant, and Convenience Stores: Paw Mart and Cornerstop.
Where do I purchase Optional Paw Points? To open an Optional Paw Points account, simply make an initial deposit of $50 or more (in increments of $50 ranging to $300) at the Tiger 1 Card Office in Fike Recreation Center. You may open an account or add to an exsisting account at any time during the semester. Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted. You also can call (864) 656-0763 to make a credit card transaction.
What if I have Optional Paw Points left at the end of the semester? Optional Paw Points balances may be carried forward to the next semester. No refunds will be issued for Optional or Meal Plan Paw Points.
How do I get information? Call the Tiger 1 Card Office at (864) 656-0763 or Dining Services at (864) 656-2164.
