Who should buy a plan?

Meal plans offer options and value. Each plan offers guaranteed meals that you can use during the semester. Some meal plans offer additional Dining Dollars that let you enjoy meals or snack sat all dining locations. Dining plans are easy to use – you don’t need to carry cash – just carry your Cougar Card. Freshmen living in campus residences are required to purchase an approved Dining Plan of 10 meals per week or more or the 225 or 175 Meal Block Plans.

If I don't use all my meals, do they carry over to the following week?

Plan to use your meals each week since they don't carry over from week to week (with the exception of Block Plans). It is important that you select the plan that best fits your schedule and eating habits to ensure that you receive the full value for your dollars. Not sure? We can guide you. Send us an e-mail at dining services@cofc.edu and we’ll help you out.

Can I change my dining plan?
Absolutely! We want you to have the plan that works best for you. You can make decreases or cancellations until 5:00 pm on the fifth business day after classes start each semester. You may increase your dining plan anytime throughout the semester. Simply go to the Dining Services office in the RSS Building Suite 115 and submit a change request form.

Can I use more than one meal per meal period?

The guaranteed meals per week plans may only use one meal per designated meal period. Block Plans may be used as many times in a period as you want. Additional purchases such as an afternoon snack or a meal for a friend may be purchased with dining dollars, cash or credit card.

What happens if I have unused Dining Dollars at the end of the semester?

Unused Dining Dollars will transfer from fall semester to spring semester. At the end of the spring semester, any unused Dining Dollars are not refundable and cannot be transferred to the next academic year.

Can I treat a friend by using my dining membership?

If you would like to treat a friend, you may pay using your Block Plan (participating locations) or Dining Dollars for your friend's snack or meal.

What do I do if my Dining Dollars balance runs low?
Load UP ! Each time you purchase a snack or a full meal, you may ask the cashier to tell you how many meals and/or Dining Dollars you have remaining. If your balance is low, simply go to the Dining Services Office (RSS Building Suite 115) to sign up for more.

How do I sign up?

It’s easy. Complete and return the Dining Plan Selection form printed at the bottom of your tuition bill. You may also select a Dining Plan as part of the online bill payment process on Cougar Trail.

Enrollment and payment by credit card for dining plans may be made at the Dining Services Office in the RSS Building Suite 115.
