1 Why should someone join the program?
By using reusable containers, participants will join others in the effort to reduce waste on our campus. Over 250,000 to-go containers were used, and therefore thrown away, on campus last year - using reusable containers will make our to-go program more sustainable.

2 Does it cost money to sign up?
All meal membership customers are asked to pay a $7.00 re-fundable deposit for their initial reusable to-go box. All participating customers must have a meal membership and a valid USF ID card to check containers in and out. To redeem your deposit at any time, return the to-go box to one of the three residential dining halls to get a refund card, which can be redeemed at the Meal Plan Office/USF Dining Services in MSC 1502. 

3 Do I have to sign up?
For meal membership customers, all you have to do is ask your cashier for a reusable to-go container, the computer will recognize you the first time you check a container out and pay the $7.00 deposit either with cash or Dining Dollars/Bull Bucks.

4 Where can the containers be used?
Bulls Den Café, Fresh Food Company, Juniper Dining.

5 How many containers can each person check out?
Participants can have one (1) container checked out under their name at any given time.

6 How long can a container be checked out?
There are no time limits, but in order to redeem your $7.00 deposit you must return the reusable to-go box by Saturday, May 8, 2009, to one of the three residential dining halls to get a refund card which can be redeemed in the Meal Plan Office/USF Dining Services in MSC 1502. Only one container can be refunded per student.

7 Do containers have to be returned to the place they were checked out?
No. You can return your container to any of the three locations.

8 Do I have to wash my container?
We handle the washing of all containers in our dishwashing facilities to ensure their proper sanitation. We do ask that you please bring the container back rinsed if possible.

9 Are these the same size as the disposable containers?
Yes, they are the exact same size.
