1. What are the advantages of having a Dining Membership? Per meal discount. Savings up to 48% off retail food costs, per meal. No need to carry cash= safety. Comfort that your student has well balanced, nutritional meals. Opportunity to socialize and meet new people. RFoC open 7 days a week.
2. What type of dining membership do you recommend? That depends on the student, their eating habits and schedule. If you choose the Knights Plan, this provides the most flexibility and savings. With this membership, the students chooses how much and how often they wish to eat each day.
3. What if my student lives off campus? Most off-campus students choose one of our Pegasus Block Dining Memberships. There are a set number of meals per semester.
4. What happens if my daughter joins a sorority that has a dining membership? Cancellations are only permitted for weekly dining memberships. A Block cancellation is not permitted for any reason. Deadline to cancel for Fall is September 8, 2008 at 5 p.m. If no meals have been used there is no fee. If meals have been used, simply pay for meals + $100 cancellation fee.
5. What is the difference between a Dining Membership and a FlexBucks Plus account? Dining Memberships provide set number of meals (per week or semester), offer big savings per meal, and there is a contract involved. A FlexBucks Plus account is like a debit card for food for which you may add money as needed with no minimum balance to maintain.
6. Can I change my Dining Membership? Yes, if you purchased a Weekly plan during the first two weeks of class: Fall grace period is until Sept. 9, 2008. ($100 cancellation fee for after the grace period).
7. Can I cancel my Dining Membership? Yes, if you purchased a Weekly plan (Same Grace Periods as above). There is a $100 cancelation fee. After Grace Period, the student needs to pay 50% of the cost of their dining membership + the $100 cancelation fee.
8. Are there Deferments available? Yes. $475 deposit (includes $25 administration fee/non-refundable due at time of application), all papers in packet are due with payment. Remaining balance is due October. 10, 2008 (in Fall pays just for Fall, must pay Spring).

9. How can I pay for my Dining Membership Cash, check (made payable to UCF Dining Services), Deferment, and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, and Discover).
10. How will my student know how many FB or FlexBucks Plus they have left on their plan? Just call or come to our Business Office located at Ferrell Commons 109, or ask cashier for balance.
11. What happens if my payment is late? Your Dining Membership account will be placed on hold until we receive the payment. |
