Mississippi State is committed to providing its students with a comprehensive educational experience. The University has determined that for most college students, on-campus dining has numerous educational, social, and dietary benefits. In recognition of the value of on-campus dining, Mississippi State University has made the decision to improve upon on-campus dining with new locations and improved meal plans.

MSU Dining Services is proud to offer MSU students multiple dining options. Instead of offering meal plans that limit or restrict the usage of meals, we are taking the approach of providing meal plan options that meet the many "Lifestyles" of the MSU student body.

Our "Lifestyle" Meal Plans allow students a choice of many dining options within one set price point. This means that students can choose between meal plans that offer more meals per semester or offer more flex dollars per semester.

"Lifestyle" Meal Plans also allow students to use their meals on their schedules, not ours. Simply stated, students now have the option of using meals throughout the day instead of set time periods. This also means that any "unused meals" at the end of the week roll-over to the next week until the end of the semester.  Another benefit that is offered with our meal plans is with the purchase of a spring meal plan any remaining Flex Dollars at the end of the FALL semester will roll over into the SPRING semester meal plan. And better yet, if a student chooses the "Unlimited" Meal Plan, there are no restrictions on the number of times a student swipes his/her card throughout the day.
