ARAMARK is proud to partner with Black River Produce, a locally owned and operated distribution company headquartered in Springfield, Vermont. Black River Produce has become the primary produce vendor for all of the Vermont campuses we serve: Lyndon State, Johnson State, Castleton State and Vermont Technical College.

Black River Produce is committed to working with over 100 local vendors and independent farms to provide high-quality seasonal ingredients and specialty foods. After 25 years in business, the smaller size of the company has allowed Black River to establish personal relationships with their farmers and purveyors to capitalize on the wealth of fruits and vegetables grown in the Green Mountain State. Doing so not only provides economic support to the surrounding community, but helps to lower the overall environmental impact, by centralizing transportation. Participating farmers can also be assured of a guaranteed market for their product and can tailor their growing needs accordingly.

Black River Produce is a member of the Vermont Fresh Network and supports the Vermont State Buy Local initaitive.
