Meal Plan Changes for Fall 2008

Upon arriving, returning students this fall will learn that the “ACDC Point” is a thing of the past. The declining balance meal plan, in which every bite of food was a transaction, has been replaced by a one swipe ‘All You Care to Eat’ Plan.

Students may make a selection from four plans which provide buffet meals in ACDC. These block  plan meals provide a specified number of guaranteed meals per semester, allowing students to enjoy all –you –care- to eat dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Each time you eat in ACDC, one meal is subtracted from your meal balance.

Students also receive 10 guest meals that can be used in ACDC, for the student or their guests only.

You will also receive declining balance points that can be used in all the retail outlets on campus, including The Retreat, The Atrium, The Kiosk, Matthew’s Bean and the soon to open convenience store in the lobby of the Students Building.

All students have the option of changing their meal plan by contacting the Office of Residential Life until September 26, 2008. To do so, please contact reslife@vassar.edu and be sure to include your id (999) number.
