Welcome back to campus! Matt Cormier- Food Service Director
Spring semester is here and soon the snow and ice will thaw and bathing suit weather will be upon us! We have made some changes to the dining program to bring you healthier options as well as other service changes. We hope that you will enjoy the changes we made over the break based on your responses to the Dining Styles Surveys.
We have also added a soft serve ice cream machine, in response to your request for healthier choices in the dining room. This new soft serve is low in fat, lactose free, gluten free, non dairy product. Even those people who have food allergies can enjoy a yummy dessert!
At Kilburn Commons
Variety & Speed of Service
For shorter lines, less waiting and more menu choices, the Made-to-Order Deli Station & Pizza/Pasta Station will be available at dinner. We will also serve Brown Rice at the Soup Station for another healthy side option.
Healthy Options
We will be adding Whole Wheat Pizza and Brown Rice at every meal and fat free salad dressings at the Salad Bar. Vegetables will be steamed and offered without butter or seasoning.
We will implement ARAMARK's Just4U Health and Wellness Program, which helps you identify healthy choices, fat and calorie information.
At the Galley
Variety & Healthy Options
We have designed a "Special of the Day" menu for lunch and dinner, which will also include more healthy options.
Sustainability
We will provide metal silverware to cut down on plastic waste. We will purchase and serve burgers and sandwiches in reusable plastic baskets with recycled basket liner paper to cut down on paper waste.
