Special Dietary Needs

University of Rochester Dining Services works hard to accomodate anyone in need of special dietary requirements.  We have the ability to adapt and change our program for our students.  If you are in need of special assistance due to dietary restrictions, please contact Dining Services at 585-275-6265.


Just4U
University of Rochester Dining Services has implemented the Just4U program in Danforth and Eastman Dining Halls; making it easier than ever for customers to identify, select and enjoy meals that fit their individual dining styles.  HEALTH-FINDER nutritional signs indicate items made using healthier preparation methods; vegetarian, vegan and organic selections; and selections lower in fat, calories and ingredients that some consumers try to avoid.

Danforth
Breakfast:
Vegetarian options include bagels, belgian waffles, french toast, hot cereals, and omelet bar. Cold cereal bar is available throughout the day.
Deli: Vegetarian specials include California Spa Wrap and Egg Salad Sandwich.
Dessert: All desserts (except for those containing Jell-O) are vegetarian.

Gluten-Free Home Zone: Features a different gluten-free entrée, starch, and vegetable for lunch and dinner daily.

Vegetarian Station: Offers a different vegetarian (occasionally vegan) entrée for lunch and dinner daily.

Kettle Classics Soups: Vegetarian and/or vegan selections are offered daily.

Salad Garden Salad Bar: Offers all of your favorite fresh vegetables, fruit, and yogurt. Proteins include tofu, edamame, chickpeas and other beans.

Pizza:
Vegetarian specials include Baked Ziti, Eggplant Parmigiano, White Pizza, Only Vegetables Pizza, Grilled Vegetable Calzone, Caprese Melt, Spinach and Ricotta Pizza, and Three Cheese Stromboli.

Specials include PB&J and Apple Sub, and California Spa Wrap.
Dessert:

Homestyle Classics: Vegetarian entrée offered daily for lunch and dinner.

Grill: Boca Burgers are offered daily.

Chef’s Features: Specials include Broccoli Cheese Topped Potatoes, and Stir Fry Station (available with tofu).
Pizza:
Specials include Vegetable Sicilian Style Pizza, Spinach and Ricotta Pizza, Savory Bruschetta Pizza, Four Cheese Pesto Flatbread Pizza, Broccoli and Eggplant Sicilian Style Pizza, Pesto Tomato and Mushroom Flatbread Pizza, and Three Cheese Stromboli.
Kettle Classics Soups: Vegetarian and/or vegan selections are offered daily.


The Orchestra Pit
Daily specials regularly feature vegetarian items; including quesadillas, wraps, and sandwiches.


Douglass
'That's a Wrap' station: This brand new station offers three different types of hummus daily. Specialty wraps include the Good 4 U Wrap, Greek Wrap, and Garden Wrap.
Vegan Zone Vegan Station:
All vegan, all the time! Features a different entrée, vegetable, and starch for lunch and dinner daily. 
Salad Garden Salad Bar: Offers all of your favorite fresh vegetables and fruit.
Kettle Classics Soups: Vegetarian and/or vegan selections are offered daily.
Nosh Kosher Deli: Offers local Kosher deli meats on made-to-order sandwiches. Hot entrees and sides offered Monday thru Friday. 
Bene Pasta: Made-to-order pasta featuring specialty sauces and fresh vegetables.
Tortilla Fresca: Burritos, fajitas, and quesadillas made-to-order with cheese, vegetables, or portobello mushrooms. Cheese nachos also available.
Grab-and-go: Vegetarian items offered daily include Artisan Vegetarian Wrap, Lakeside Salad, Mixed Fruit Cup, Hardboiled Eggs, Yogurt Parfaits, Chocolate Brownie Parfaits, and Apples with Caramel. Weekly specials include Mediterranean Salad, Apples with Peanut Butter, Cottage Cheese and Fruit, Apple Coleslaw, and Crudites with Ranch.

Wilson Commons (samples of vegetarian items)
Breakfast:
Breakfast nook features bagels and cold cereals.
'A New Leaf' salad bar: Tossed-to-order salads. Weekly themes include Italian, Southwest, Mediterranean, Asian, and Carribean. Tofu is always available; other protein specials include Portobello Mushrooms, Stuffed Grape Leaves, and Orange Grilled Tofu.
ROC City Grill:
Boca Burgers and Black Bean Burgers are available daily.
Bene Pizzeria: Cheese pizza is always available. Specials include Mushroom and Sundried Tomato Pizza, White Pizza, Foccacia Rolls, Jalepeno Bosco Sticks, Stuffed Shells, and Cheese Manicotti.
Blimpie: VegiMax Hot Sub, Veggie Supreme Deli Sub.
Sushi: Vegetable Rolls.
Grab-and-go: Vegetarian items offered daily include Artisan Vegetarian Wrap, Lakeside Salad, Mixed Fruit Cup, Hardboiled Eggs, Yogurt Parfaits, Chocolate Brownie Parfaits, and Apples with Caramel. Hillside
New this year, 'The Press' Panini station offers made-to-order panini sandwiches. Vegetarian options include the Grilled Veggie Panini and the Tomato Mozzarella Panini. The C3 has a wide variety of vegetarian, gluten-free, and dairy-free frozen meals.

Starbucks
Soymilk is available by request. Offers full line of brewed coffees and teas.

Meliora Restaurant (samples of vegetarian items)
Autumn Salad, Kettle Classics Soups, Salad Bar, Meliora Melt, Margarita Pizza, and freshly baked desserts.
