The newly renovated "Uncommons" is located just behind the Borden Gym, formally the Sumner Smith Rink. It opened January 2, 2008 to the delight of students and faculty alike. The new dining destination incorporates ARAMARK'S latest concepts.

We offer a full breakfast every day at our Home Zone as well as omelets and eggs made to order at our Sizzle Station. There's also an expansive yogurt and fresh cut fruit bar, top-your-own Belgian waffles, hot oatmeal and cocoa, twelve of today’s most popular cereals, a variety of Minute Made juices, wholesome Highlawn farms dairy products, a full bagel and grains assortment and Green Mountain's Fair Trade Organic Coffee.

At Lunch and Dinner we offer comfort foods at the Home Zone consisting of two homemade entrees including a vegetarian option. At the Sizzle Stations we offer two daily specials.There's also a starch bar, a full service deli,self serve Panini grills and a gourmet salad bar featuring vegetarian and non-vegetarian proteins to create a complete meal, two homemade soups, a new Farmers Market with local and organic foods, a self serve deli station, three types of whole fruits, and popular cold and hot beverages.

Throughout each month our program also features lobby table events, topping bars in the dining hall, cluster dinners and monthly themed meals. Examples are soup extravaganza day, Red Sox opening day, brownie bars, taco bars, strawberry short cake bars, Italian night, Black Arts dinner, Latin Arts dinner, Asian Arts dinner, and cluster dinners where each cluster designs their own meal for the evening.
