Meal Plans

Meal Plan Requirement for Resident Students
Dining with friends is an intregal part of your college experience. Whether it's a quick bite on the go or a casual sit-down with your friends, a meal plan makes it easy to refuel and reconnect.  The convenience of traditional all-you-care-to-enjoy meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner in the Centennial Room is combined with the flexibility of a la carte point spending at all our retail locations, Subway, the Trailblazer Cafe, P.O.D. Market, Bowman Grab and Go and local town eateries.  The "Full Meal Plan" is the minimum plan for freshmen, sophomores and juniors with a residency requirement. Fourth year students may choose from any of the meal plans listed below:

  • The Full Meal Plan: This plan provides you with 225 all-you-care-to-eat meals per semester (breakfast, lunch, dinner and brunch on weekends) and $355.00 in Declining Balance Points to spend at any dining location on campus. You also receive $25 Blazer Bucks for use at any of our local participating vendors as well as any on-campus dining location. The plan includes five guest meals - perfect when you want to treat family or friends. Price: $2,164 per semester.   
  • The 160 Block Plan: This plan was designed for students without a residency requirement, with up to 160 all-you-care-to-eat meals per semester (breakfast, lunch, dinner and brunch on weekends). In addition, you receive $550 in Declining Balance Points to spend at any dining location on campus. You also receive $50 Blazer Bucks for use with local participating vendors.  Blazer Bucks are also accepted anywhere on campus. You also receive five guest meals - perfect when you want to treat family or friends. Price: $2,135 per semester.
  • THE 100 Block Plan: This plan was designed for students without a residency requirement, with up to 100 all-you-care-to-eat meals per semester (breakfast, lunch, dinner and brunch on weekends). In addition, you receive $600 in Declining Balance Points to spend at any dining location on campus. You also receive $50 Blazer Bucks for use with local participating vendors.  Blazer Bucks are also accepted anywhere on campus. You also receive five guest meals - perfect when you want to treat family or friends. Price: $1,911 per semester.
  • All Declining Balance Plan: If you prefer total flexibility, this plan is another option for students without a residency requirement. Simply open a Declining Balance account with $290 and we'll add $25 in DB points, giving you a total buying power of $315. For only $290.

Board plan holders may add optional additional blocks of 10 meals to their existing meal plans for $65.00 per block. These add-on blocks shall be restricted to current meal plan holders only.

Once you have purchased a plan, you may add additional DB Points at any time in the following increments. We'll even add a bonus each time you purchase points.

  • $50.00 you get $5.00 for $55.00 total buying power
  • $100.00 you get $10.00 for $110.00 total buying power

Terms and Conditions:

All funds and plans purchased for use in MCLA Dining Services are for the personal use of the owner of the account or plan only and are non-transferable. The MCLA Dining Services funds and plans cannot be used as a gift card or gift certificate.

Except as otherwise expressly stated in these terms, all MCLA Dining Services funds and plans are non-refundable and will expire at the earlier of the last day of enrollment or employment, as applicable, or the last day of the current semester.

Voluntary Block Meals and Declining Balance Dollars funds are non-refundable.
Unused Voluntary Block Meals and Declining Balance Dollars balances expire on the earlier of last date of enrollment or employment and last day of the Spring Semester.


Campus Dining Services Rules & Regulations
Campus Dining Services at MCLA is operated by ARAMARK Services. ARAMARK Services provides the College with professional culinary staff who prepare and cook to order a well-balanced nutritious meal for students and staff in the dining facility, catered events, Subway, The Trailblazer Cafe, P.O.D and Bowman Grab and Go. Those students fulfilling the College residency requirement are required to participate in the meal program. Students who do not participate in a formal meal plan and guests to the College may also purchase meals with a credit card or on a cash basis. ARAMARK does provide vegetarian and vegan menu options.

“All you care to eat” meals may not be shared with any diner.   Meal plans and cards are NON-TRANSFERABLE. In other words, students may not pass off their cards to anyone else to use.
Tableware is the property of ARAMARK Corporation and may NOT be removed from the dining areas.
Students may not take meals out of the Centennial Room during service hours 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. each day.

Students who need to arrange for a meal equivalency because he/she will be away from campus at an athletic game, etc., should contact campus dining staff to arrange for equivalency menu information, menu item selection, and meal pick-up. 

All diners are expected to sit at tables and eat their meals. 

Proper attire is expected.

No pets or animals are allowed anywhere in the servery, Centennial room or C-store for any reason. Approved service dogs excluded.
