In October 2006, Dining Services introduced locally grown produce in all dining locations.  All locally grown produce is labeled and the variety changes daily based on the harvest and season.

Through a collaborative effort of Students, Administrators and Dining, Brandeis will be the site for monthly farmers market featuring many local produce vendors.

RecycleMania is a friendly competition among college and university recycling programs across the United States.

During the next 10 weeks, schools from around the nation will compete in different contests to see which institution can collect the largest amount of recyclables per capita, the largest amount of total recyclables, the least amount of trash per capita, or have the highest recycling rate.  Schools report measurements on a weekly basis.

The schools that out-compete the others win the grand prize, taking home the national RecycleMania trophy!  So take the challenge and make Brandeis University number one!
