Commencement is our busiest time of the year! Dining Services enjoys being a part of Commencement each and every year and helping to make this memorable weekend such a big success.

Seeing that this is such a busy weekend, we are looking for the best and the brightest to help and join us. And the best part, no experience is needed! Dining Services provides all the training one would need to be successful!

On campus housing is available for a small fee of $20 per day. Payment in full is due by May 8th. 

There will be one required orientation and training session that will be held on two different days this year (May 6th from 3:00 to 4:30 and May 8th from 5:00 pm to 6:30pm). We will go over the Dining Policy, Uniform Policy, Housing Policies, Punching In and Out, Schedule Postings, Times and Locations, as well as answer any questions. Wait Staff will also experience specific catering wait staff training to ensure that you will be comfortable when serving guests.

Job opportunities are available in all three of the buildings in which we operate food services: Usdan Student Center, Sherman Dining Hall or the Faculty Club. We also have opportunities in our Catering Department.

Usdan Student Center:
The fast paced Usdan Student Center offers a variety of work opportunities from cashiering, late night pizza making or any one of the terrific stations we offer. You may also opt to work in our Convenience Store for a terrific experience away from the main operation. You’ll make lots of friends in this building and enjoy a free meal at the station of your choice!

Sherman Dining Hall:
Our unique and diverse dining operation at the Sherman Student Center is all-you-care-to-eat making it equally popular to Usdan. This building also offers a full Kosher operation including a dynamic and one-of-a-kind cooked-to-order Kosher station. Upstairs at The Stein restaurant you will enjoy a more intimate crowd at this casual, pub-style restaurant offering a great work opportunity.

The Faculty Club:
Our Faculty Club is the popular spot for faculty and staff to eat lunch or attend catered events during lunch or dinner. The food is great and the atmosphere is exciting. The Club also boasts many fun and enjoyable social events on weekends for a different work experience.

Catering:
Join our On-Call Catering Wait Staff team. Trainings are offered twice a year and after you've completed the training we'll call you when we have shifts available. You decide if you can work or not. It's that easy!

Description:
Duties include but are not limited to: serving dinner, sanitation of the Cafe and Boulevard, some stations require basic food preparation. Attend scheduled shifts, serve guests by preparing and plating or packaging food items, follow proper safety and sanitation procedures, clean stations at the end of their scheduled shift, stock items at the end of the schedules shifts, practice customer service and professionalism. Other duties as assigned by Student Manager and Aramark management.

Pay Rate: $8.25/hour

On Call Catering Waitstaff

Description:
Duties include but are not limited to: setting-up, servicing and breaking down catering events in various campus locations, attending to the needs of the guests throughout the event, maintaining cleanliness and order of catering storage locations, stocking beverages, salad bars and equipment, providing table service to Club members and guests, resetting dining room for catered events, assisting in seating guests, and providing superb customer service in this high profile, professional atmosphere, and other duties as assigned.

Pay Rate: $11.25/hour
