Aside from the items listed in our catering guide, arrangements can be made to design a menu which reflects the special needs of our particular group. Our professional staff would be delighted to assist you in planning the details of your function to make it a truly special event.

Whether planning a simple breakfast or an upscale executive luncheon, you will find all of our most popular menu selections on line. We can also custom design a menu for any special occasion. We pride ourselves on our ability to meet any need with style and creativity, assuring the success of your event.
This system has been created to make ordering your food and beverage requirements as easy as possible. We want to ensure that we are providing you with the very the best options for you to select from, so please let us know if there is something you do not see in our order guide. We will be happy to assist you at any time with placing your food and beverage orders. Simply call the catering sales office and an event planner will walk you through the on-line process.

Booking an Event
Event and Room Reservations: Room reservations can be made (8:00 am to 4:30 pm) by calling (605) 677-5464 or visiting the Scheduling Desk in the Temporary Student Center Room 126.
Food and Beverage: Arrangements for food and beverage service can be made by calling the Catering Office at (605) 677-5665, by visiting the Catering Office located in the Temporary Student Center Room 126, or by clicking on the ucatering.catertrax.com link. All food in the Commons or Al Neuharth Media Center must be provided by U.Catering.
Late Order Availability: In order to ensure the quality of your event, we ask that all orders be placed seven (7) business days prior to the event in order to give the Catering Office sufficient time in order to procure food and service personnel. Events booked without sufficient notification will be subject to limited menu and service availability and a $10.00 late order fee. Sufficient notification is defined as at least 3 business days for meals ant at least 2 business days for refreshment setups.
Billing Procedures
Guarantee: An estimated guest count is required at the time that services are scheduled. A final guaranteed count must be provided to the Catering Office at least 48 hours prior to the event. You will be billed for the guaranteed number or the actual guest count, whichever is higher. As we take pride pre-planning every detail of your event, adding guests to your party after your guaranteed count has been received may result in necessary menu or service revisions.
Payment: Invoices will be issued each Friday, and are payable upon receipt. A late charge of $7.00 and an interest charge of 1.5% of the total of the invoice will be applied to all past due invoices over 25 days. Sales tax will be added to each invoice unless we are provided with a copy of the tax exemption certificate prior to the event. Non-University sponsored events may require a deposit or credit card at the time of booking to guarantee services.
Fees
Delivery: A minimum charge of $50.00 or 10% of total invoice, whichever is lesser, will be added to invoices for services outside the Commons.
Cancellations: In the event that services need to be canceled, a $25.00 cancellation fee will be charged for meals canceled within 3 business days of the event. In addition, the Catering Office will charge for food and labor costs already incurred at the time of the cancellation.
