How Memberships Work Dining plans are geared specifically to make your life simpler! Your University Center ID Card works with our computer system to identify you as a dining plan member. Our dining plans are easy, economical and designed to best meet the needs of your busy lifestyle.
Meal Allowance Come in for all-you-care-to-eat meals at The Center for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You receive a varying number of guaranteed meals. Each time you eat, one meal is subtracted from your meal allowance.
Flex Dollars Flex Dollars work on the same principle as a debit card. Each time you make a food purchase the total cost of your meal is subtracted from the dollar balance in your account.
Refund Policy:
-
Meal Per Week Plans (mandatory options for suite residents):
If a Basic (10), Standard (15) or Deluxe (19) meal plan is cancelled after the first week of classes of an academic term, no discounts or refunds will be issued for unused meals, days or flex dollars for the current academic term. No other charges will apply for subsequent terms. Suite residents who have enrolled in the Standard or Deluxe meal plans may opt to switch to the Basic or Standard plan between terms after completing a full term for an academic year, provided they request the change before the commencement of the new term (resumption of classes).
-
Resident Block Plans (voluntary options for Apartment residents):
If a resident block meal plan (Apartment or Casual) is cancelled after the first week classes for an academic term there will be no refunds issued.
-
Non Resident Dining Plans (150 block, available any time and 75 block, available Spring term only):
Approved: A non-resident dining plan may be cancelled up to and through the first week of classes for any given term. The member school and resident will not be responsible for full payment of these plans, only the portion which has already been used. Any meals used will be charged at the full retail price of the meal and the difference will be refunded.
After the end of the first week of classes through the remainder of the academic year, a member school may cancel up to 3% of the meal plans annually and refund any unused portions to the student. The member school will only be charged the full retail price for the amount of the plan used. Once the 3% annual allowance has been reached, the school is responsible for full meal plan charges should a cancellation occur.
At the commencement of the spring term in January, there will be a one week grace period after classes begin for any new plan participant. Any enrolled participant who cancels a plan at any time after the first week of classes in the Spring or Fall will be considered as part of the 3% cancellation threshold.
Notes:
- All meal plans, whether required or voluntary, is a commitment for the entire academic year or remaining portion at the time of enrollment in the meal plan. Whether the cost is paid by the academic term or for the full year in a lump sum, the same early termination policy stated above applies.
- Residents on a required meal plan may switch between the standard and deluxe plan without penalty.
- Residents on a voluntary plan may switch between different plans without penalty.
- If a meal plan is not paid in full for the current academic term on or before the first day of classes, it is subject to immediate termination.
