
Green Thread: Sustainability in Dining Services
Green thread is a corporate initiative brought forth by ARAMARK Higher Education to help campuses and universities dining services to align themselves with vision of the university or campus. Over the next months you will see a transition from the Pacific Naturals program to the Green Thread initiative. During earth day and through out the week you will see activites such as "Make your Mark", "I Pledge", and trayless dining all in an effort to become a greener dining services.
Pacific University Dining Services is committed to communicating our sustainability efforts. The Pacific Naturals Information Board will transition into Pacific Thread it will help you identify where we are getting our foods locally. We continue to connect with Local Food Growers and producers to increase the use of their products on campus. In addition to sustainable initiatives, Pacific University Dining Services recycles cardboard, aluminum, glass, tin, paper, and even grease.
