Meal Plans - Terms and Conditions
This contract is for both Fall 2009 and Spring 2010.
This contract is for either Fall or Spring Semesters and is dependant on your residence with housing or students living off-campus. Flex $ and Gold $ carry from Fall to Spring semester but expire at the end of Spring semester. At the end of the semester, any unused meals, Flex $ or Gold $ will expire and are non-refundable.
You have the opportunity to change your meal plan during the first two weeks of classes at the Residential Life Help desk in the Commons Building.
Your meal plan can be used during scheduled service times. Please refer to signage posted at each location.
Meal Plan Coverage
You are entitled to eat the number of meals per week, beginning at breakfast each Thursday and ending with dinner on Wednesday. Only one meal can be eaten during each meal period (breakfast, lunch or dinner). Meal plans are non-transferable, and you cannot allow anyone else to use or eat with your ID.
All meal plan weekly meal allowances can be used in the Western Dining Hall. Flex $ and Gold $ can be redeemed in the Western Dining Hall (Blum Union), Food Court (Blum Union), Deli (Popplewell Hall), C-Store (Commons Building), Java City (Library in the Hearnes Center), or the Hot Dog Cart (Agenstein Hall). The Cafeteria offers all-you-care-to-eat dining at each meal period provided by your meal plan. Removing food from the dining room is prohibited. A meal can also be purchased with Flex $ and Gold $ or cash and credit cards. At the Food Court, Deli, Java City, C-Store and Hot Dog Cart, you are allowed to select any items with the Flex $ and Gold $ provided by your meal plan as well as cash.
A valid Missouri Western State University ID card is required to use your meal plan. A new ID card may be purchased at the Parking Services Office in the Blum Union Room 100.
Access to Cafeteria
Access is restricted to those entering for a meal (this includes meal plans, Flex $, Gold $, cash and credit cards). If you must leave during your meal, see a dining manager before exiting to arrange a re-entry.
Behavior that is abusive or disruptive or that endangers the health, safety, or welfare of others is prohibited. MWSU students who engage in such behavior may be subject to disciplinary action and/or termination of their meal plan contract without refund.
