Loyola Dining Services has a deep respect for and commitment to protecting and improving the environment. We work to reduce our environmental footprint while delivering exceptional food service at Loyola University Chicago. Throughout our department, we develop and implement long-term environmental stewardship programs and policies within the areas of sustainable food procurement, energy and water conservation, waste stream management and community relationships. We call these programs and policies Green Thread as they weave throughout our business operations everyday.

Following a year-long campaign, on March 28, 2012 Loyola students passed a referendum to phase out the sale of bottled water on the Loyola University Chicago campuses. ARAMARK-Loyola Dining is working in support of the University’s initiative to end the sale of bottled water beginning in Fall 2012.

There are 35 refill stations across both Lakeshore and Water Tower campuses as well as reusable water bottles available for purchase at Nina’s Cafe, Terry Food Court, Rambler Room, Southside Market, Union Station, Connections Cafe and Center Stage Cafe.
