How Meal Plans Work
Diversity. It’s one of the greatest things about the university experience. It’s also one of the things we make sure you get to experience with your dining plan!  With 6 meal plan options you are sure to find one to fit your needs.

How does the all-you-care-to-eat work?
You will pay as you enter by using a meal from your plan or paying a door rate using cash, credit card, Meal Plan Flex or Trojan Gold.  Then you enjoy the services inside and come back in as many times as needed.  Every time you re-enter you will swipe your card if you used a meal  (does not charge again) or show your receipt if paying in another form.

What is Continuous Dining?
This means our doors are open from 7:30am to 7:30pm with two 15 minute transition times for change of meal service.  With five designated meal periods, this provides the most flexibility for our customer's busy schedules.

What are the meal periods and door rates?
Breakfast 7:30am-10am $5.50
Continental Breakfast 10am-10:45am $4.50
Lunch 11am-1pm $7.00
Light Lunch 1pm-4:45pm $6.00
Dinner 5pm-7:30pm $8.00

Where can I use my Faculty/Staff plan and Meal Plan Flex?
Meal Plan Meals are used in the Marketplace.  You can use your Meal Plan Flex at Einstein Bros Bagels, Bits ‘n Bytes C-store, Concessions and in the Marketplace if you do not have meals.

Can I carry over my unused Flex/Meals?
All Meal Plan Meals are non-refundable and must be used within the semester of purchase.  Fall Meal Plan Flex is transferrable to Spring semester or forfeited if student is not attending Spring semester.  All Meal Plan Flex is non-refundable at the end of Spring Semester.

Can I treat a friend to a meal on my plan?
All Meal Plans, excluding the Big Blue Plan, have 10 “guest” meals that are included in the total number of meals.  You can treat your friends or family by using a guest meal or you can use your Flex Dollars.

Can I change my meal plan?
Yes.  For the first two weeks of each semester you can change your plan simply by going to the Student Services office in the Trojan Center and completing a Membership Change Form.

What do I do if my Flex dollars run low?
Simply make a deposit to your account by cash, check, money order or credit card.  Go to the Student Services office in the Trojan Center, tell them you want to replenish your Flex and they’ll take care of you.  Or you can visit
