A growing demand for healthy eating options has spread across campus. In an on-going effort to stay atop trends while satisfying our guests, Campus Dining is proud to roll out a health awareness campaign on campus. The campaign’s theme is "choices." We recognize that there are many different dining lifestyles, and we provide options for all. Our objective, however, is to inform our guests on healthy options in the retail and residential restaurants so you are able to make educated decisions about your diet.

SDA Recommends...

We asked CMU's Student Dietetic Association to search campus for some of their favorite healthy options, proving taste and nutrition go hand-in-hand.

Acai Smoothie {Freshens Energy Zone - Goodies To Go} The Brazilian superfood, the acai berry, bring the flavors of berries and chocolate to this healthy snack, packed with a natural energy boost and all the nutrients you need.
Black Bean Burger
{Grille Works - Down Under Food Court} A favorite to both vegetarians and meat-lovers alike, this sandwich offers a bold taste with less calories than a traditional burger.
Sushi
{Down Under Food Court, Java City Coffee Houses, the Market} Full of Omega-3 fatty acids and vegetables, this meal fills you up without the extra calories. Don't go too heavy on the soy sauce, however, which contains a high amount of sodium.
Chicken Pesto Panini
{d•lish - the Market}  Order this sandwich with the sauce on the side and no butter on the bread, and you're in for a delicious meal.
Organic Black Bean Tortilla Chips
{the Market, C3} One of the over 200 natural and organic options offered in the on-campus convenience stores, these chips offer an exciting twist on the traditional favorites.
