The security of guaranteed all-you-care-to-eat meals or the flexibility of a la carte purchasing. You never worry about cooking or doing the dishes. Lots of great food choices. You never have to worry about carrying cash. How Block Meal Plans Work- 2009/2010 Academic Year Meal plans are geared specifically to make your life simpler! A magnetic stripe on the back of your student ID card works with our computer system to identify you as a meal plan member. Our meal plans are easy and designed to meet the needs of your busy campus lifestyle. The MEALS PER SEMESTER portion of your plan can be used at either of our all-you-care-to-eat dining locations, The Market Place @ Atherton Union or Residential College Dining Room.   The 290, 240 or 180 Block Meal Plans can access the dining rooms once a meal period.  The Unlimited Meal Plan allows multiple entries into the dining rooms. Flex Dollars work on the same principle as debit cards. Each time you make a food purchase, the total cost of your meal is subtracted from the balance in your account. Flex Dollars can be used at your discretion throughout the semester and is accepted in the C-Club Food Court, Starbucks, The Market Place @ Atherton Union, Residential College Dining Room, Zia Juice Bar and the Convenience Store. If you run out of Flex Dollars, you can add additional money to your account at anytime by visiting the Dining Services Office, room 110 in the Atherton Union, call (317) 940-9701 or do it on line!  The Block Meal Plans are contracted with Residence Life at Butler University.  You can contact the Student Affairs office at (317) 940-9570 if you have further questions.
