Dear Customers,
Thank you for choosing Classic Fare Catering at Butler University for your catering needs. The staff and management of Classic Fare Catering look forward to working with you to fulfill your dining needs. You will find that the attached catering guide is designed to assist you in the planning of your special event. Included in the guide are menu selections, checklists and prices. In addition to the items listed in the guide, we will be happy to help tailor a specific menu for theme parties or receptions.

We are ready to make your event an outstanding and memorable occasion. Since every client has a different view on how an event should be designed, we are willing to work with you to help create your special event.

To ensure that your event is a success, please carefully read through this catering guide to make your selections. Once your selections are made you may call the catering office or fax your order. You will receive a confirmation sheet a week before your event. Please look over the confirmation sheet and notify us of any changes you would like made. The time, location and menu on the confirmation sheet are what we operate by.

FOOD & BEVERAGE AT YOUR EVENT
Due to Health Department Regulations and ARAMARK Catering Policy, no food or beverage may be taken from a catered event. It is our goal that every event is attractively presented and proportioned for the last guest as for the first. Due to this attention to presentation, there may be food remaining at the end of the buffet. This food has not been billed to the customer and is not available for carry out.

ROOM RESERVATIONS & SET UP
Conference & Special Events (CSE) must be contacted prior to any catering order being taken. They can be reached at 940-9352 to reserve your space. CSE will also arrange for table set-ups, chairs, audio visual and other equipment.

MENU PLANNING
In order to offer as broad a menu as possible, please contact the ARAMARK Catering Office at least 2 weeks prior to your event. To expedite the ordering process and insure accuracy, please e-mail your order to catering@butler.edu or phone 940-9764. Please be prepared with the following information:

  • Confirmation of Room Reservation by Conference & Special Events
  • Date, Location and Time
  • Group Organization or Name of the Event
  • Estimated Number of Guests Attending
  • Proposed Menu or Ideas

ESTIMATED & GUARANTEED COUNTS
When booking your event, an estimated count must be given to the catering department. A guaranteed count is due three business days prior to your event. As we take pride in pre-planning every detail of your event, adding guests to your party after your guaranteed count has been received may result in necessary menu or service revisions. If you have more guests than were guaranteed, we will do our best to accommodate them. You will be billed for the guaranteed number or the actual guest count, whichever is higher.

PAYMENT
On Campus:

Clients will need to provide their 5 digit service code, prior to placing an order with the catering department. Orders will not be accepted without this service code.

Off Campus:
Clients will need to provide a credit card # for guarantee purposes. We will accept cash, cashiers check, Visa or Master Card for payment which is due on the day of the event. Off Campus billing is subject to 17% service charge and Marian County sales tax. If your group is tax exempt, a copy of the tax exempt certificate must be provided prior to your event.

CANCELLATION OF AN EVENT
Cancellations must be made three business days prior to the event or you will be billed for all costs incurred at the time of cancellation. Your cancellation must be confirmed by ARAMARK personnel to be considered accepted.

MISCELLANEOUS PRICING
Menu prices include plastic scrollware unless specifically stated. If china & glassware are desired, there are additional costs per person:

  • Continental Breakfast - $1.00 per person
  • Reception - $1.50 per person
  • Full Meal - $2.00 per person
  • Glassware only - $.75 per person

LINENS
Table skirting and tablecloths in standard colors are included for food and beverage tables in the catering prices.
Additional Cloth Linens (Blue, White & Cream) are $3.50 per cloth.
Additional Cloth & Skirted Tables are $10.00 per table.

Please NOTE: Large quantities may incur an additional rental fee.

BAR SERVICES
ARAMARK CORPORATION holds the exclusive liquor license for Butler University. No outside liquor can be brought into any catering function on campus. (EVENTS AT CLOWES HALL ARE THE EXCEPTION)
