What are flex points and how can they be used?
Meal plan flex points allow you to supplement your meal plan by providing you non-taxable, discretionary spending money for use at all dining locations at any time. Flex points are for use at William & Mary food dining locations and Domino's "Late Night" Campus Pizza delivery only. Additional Flex points may be purchased in increments of $10 at any time throughout the semester by visiting the ID Office in the Campus Center, The Students' X-change located in the Sadler Center, Starbucks Café at Swem Library or The Java City Café at Marshall Wythe School of Law. Flex points carry over from fall to spring with the purchase of a spring meal membership however, flex points do not carry over from spring to summer or fall semesters.
Can I use my Flex Points or Meals to purchase a meal for a guest or myself?
Yes, you can use your Flex Points at all Dining Service facilities at your discretion. Should you choose to use your Flex Points for Unlimited Seconds dining at Center Court or The Caf, you may do so at the following non-taxable prices: Breakfast $6.50, Brunch/Lunch $9.50, Dinner $9.95. If you are enrolled in the Gold Plus plan, you have 5 guest meals per semester to be used however you choose. Block meals may be used only when a guest accompanies the ID card holder. Gold and Green meals are intended solely for the meal plan holder and are non-transferable.
What is a meal zone and where do they apply?
Meal zones are the times in which you may use your meal plan. Meal zones are campus-wide; therefore, the hours may not always coincide with actual meal periods or concept hours at each location. Meal zones have been established for the locations that allow for meals, meal options, "take-out", and grab-n-go.

What is Unlimited Access?
If you are enrolled in the Gold Plus plan you are entitled to dine-in at the Sadler Center RFoC or the Commons Fresh Food Company as many times as you like throughout the day.
What is a Meal Option?
A meal option is a pre-determined meal exchange including; a specified entrée, beverage, fruit & dessert, with no substitutions, which are available at The Dodge Room and The Marketplace. Gold 19, Gold 14, Gold 10 and all Block meal plan participants are allowed one meal option per meal zone. Once a meal option has been used, no other meals may be used in that meal zone. Gold Plus Plan meal participants may use one meal option per meal zone and still enjoy unlimited access at the Sadler Center RFoC or the Commons Fresh Food Company.
Do my Flex Points carry over from semester to semester?
Flex Points carry over from fall to spring with a spring meal plan membership. Flex points at the end of the spring semester will be forfeited.
Will I be able to eat if I forget my ID?
All students are required to have their identification card to be able to obtain meals, use their flex points or William & Mary Express at all of our dining locations.
What happens if I miss a meal? Do I get credit for that meal?
If you have the Gold Plus or one of the Block meal plans, you are not restricted to the number of meals used in a given meal zone, day, or week. There are no carry over meals with the Gold 19, Gold 14 or Gold 10 meal plans.
Do unused meals carry over to the following week?
No. Plan to use your meals each week. We can help you decide on the right plan to fit your schedule and eating habits, ensuring that you get the full value for your dollars.
What do I do when my Flex Points run low?
Reload. Simply add to your account with cash, check, money order, or credit card by visiting the our web site at www.wm.edu/dining or visit The Students' X-change, ID office, Swem library or Java City at the School of Law.

I have special dietary needs. What do I do?
We have registered dieticians who consult with William & Mary dining if you should need a customized diet. We are conscious of our students' needs and offer product information upon request. Nutritional information is posted for most items at our dining locations and on our web-site: www.wm.edu/dining. From our home-page click on menus. Please contact us at dining@wm.edu so that we may schedule an appointment to meet with you.
If I am ill, how do I get a meal?
You may fill out an "Under the Weather" form and send it with a friend, along with your ID, to pick up a meal for you from The Commons, The Marketplace or Center Court. Forms can be obtained from any of our Dining Locations or on our web-site at: www.wm.edu/dining. From our home-page click on "Under the Weather".
I would like to earn some extra money, are jobs available through Dining Services?
Absolutely! We strongly encourage students to apply for a job in Dining Services. In addition to flexible hours and convenient locations, we offer a meal allowance. There are a variety of part-time positions to choose from including presidential catering, cashiers, and office assistants.
