Residential Meal Memberships:

The number in front of a meal membership option denotes the number of meals per week the meal member is entitled to. Students may use up to 4 meals a day at any time.

Meal Plan Dollars come with some of the Meal Memberships to supplement your options and offer you even more flexibility! Use Meal Plan Dollars in all campus dining locations and at the on campus convenience store. Meal Plan Dollars work just like Dining Dollars but since they are only packaged with a Meal Membership they are offered at a bargain price. By using Meal Plan Dollars, you receive a 11% discount on your purchases.

Meal Membership Cancellation Policy:

Before Meal Membership start dates:
Cancellations received later than August 15 for a Fall Semester Meal Membership, or later than January 8 for a Spring Semester Meal Membership will be charged a $25.00 processing fee.

After Meal Membership start dates:
Cancellations are allowed on customer demand only during the first two weeks of the semester. Charges for these cancellations will include $25.00 processing fee and a prorated 2-week Meal Membership fee. Withdrawals or cancellations made after the first 2 weeks follow the university refund policy. All those who sign up for Meal Memberships understand and acknowledge the policies noted above.

Dining Dollars:

This is a debit account accessed by the student ID. The dining dollars account is often used to supplement a full meal membership. The dollars deposited in this account may only be used for items purchased in all dining operations including The Fresh Food Company, DUC Food Court, Garrett Food Court, PFT Food Court, Java City Library, Freshens, Java City DUC, both Subway locations, C3 @ EST, South Campus C3, Red Zone and the on campus convenience store. You have the added security of not having to carry cash for meals and snacks PLUS it is also a better value than cash in that all purchases give you a discount of 11%, just like Meal Plan Dollars.
Big Red Dollars:

This is also a debit account accessed by the student ID and is often used to supplement a full meal membership. The dollars deposited in this account may be used for items purchased in dining operations, but has greater flexibility in that it may also be used to pay for non-food purchases on campus like books, parking fees and fines, and even tuition. It is extremely handy for vending machine purchases and to use the laundry facilities in the residence halls. Again you have the added security of not having to carry cash for your purchases. Since this account is not limited to dining service purchases, it does not get the added dining services discount shown for Dining Dollars when used for retail purchases.
