All block plan participants are required to present a valid VCUCard to receive dining plan privileges. Students residing in University Housing (other than apartments) are required to purchase one of the following dining plans:

Prices are per semester and are subject to approval by the VCU Board of Visitors.



DINING DICTIONARY
Block Plan A specific number of meals to be used at any time during the semester at any VCU Dining Center or VCU Dining Services retail locations participating in the VCU Dining Services Meal Exchange Program.
Dining Dollars A rechargeable cash declining balance account as part of the dining plan that allows for tax-free food purchases at an VCU Dining Center or VCU retail location.
Dining Center Unlimited servings dining location that accepts block plans, Dining Dollars, RamBucks, cash and credit cards. The unlimited servings restaurant is Market 810 located on the second floor of Shafer Court Dining Center on the Monroe Park Campus.
Retail Locations Retail locations accept Dining Dollars, Rambucks, cash, checks and credit/debit cards with the exception of McDonald's, which accepts cash and credit cards only.

The retail locations are:
- Camille's Sidewalk Cafe located on the first floor of Shafer Court Dining Center
- Commons Cafe and Park Place located in the University Student Commons
- Starbucks Coffee located in James Branch Cabell Library
- Harris Hall Convenience Store located on the first floor of Grace E. Harris Hall
- Bookmark Bistro, featuring Quiznos Subs and "We Proudly Brew" Starbucks Coffee, located in the VCU Bookstore on Broad Street
- Bleecker Street Cafe located in Snead Hall
- Chili's, Starbucks Coffee and the Cary Street Market & Deli located in Monroe Park Campus Addition Housing II at the corner of Belvidere and Cary streets
- Alpine Bagel Cafe and McDonald's located in the Gateway Building on the MCV Campus
- Hideaway Cafe located in Hunton Student Center on the MCV Campus
- Skull & Beans located in Tompkins-McCaw Library
- Cabaniss Hall breakfast option - now accepts meal blocks, Dining Dollars, RamBucks and credit cards


* Dining plan purchases and changes may be made in the Department of Business Services' office, 1111 W. Broad Street, Suite 128. Changes to block plans will be accepted until:
(fall 2008 semester, September 5, 2008; spring 2009 semester, January 23, 2009).

* Block plans are for the use of the dining contract participant only and are non-transferable.

The following block plans have the ability for twenty (20) of their meals to be used as guest meals:

 

  • 300 Block Plan with 100 Dining Dollars
  • 250 Block Plan with 309 Dining Dollars
  • 250 Block Plan with 175 Dining Dollars
  • 200 Block Plan with 300 Dining Dollars
  • 200 Block Plan with 150 Dining Dollars
