Something from Home is designed to make it easy for parents, guardians, relatives and friends to send a little love to their student away in college. Our cakes, cookies, and punch cards are a great way to deliver an encouraging word, a good luck on finals or simply say, "I miss you."  

Order cakes, cookies, brownies, and gift cards anytime through our secure online ordering system. For your safety we do not take credit card numbers over the phone. All orders need to be placed through our website. Please allow 72 business hours from the time we review your order for all bakery orders (cookies and cakes) to be ready for pick-up. 

Your student will have to pick up the SFH gift at Crossroads - our retail location on the first floor of O'Hill. U.Va. Dining does not have access to the dorms and does not deliver.

Please Note: All bakery products, including breads and desserts, may contain peanuts or other nuts. If you have questions about nut allergies or nuts in our products, please call U.Va. Dining before ordering. We appreciate your patronage!

Creating an account to order Something From Home

If you do not currently have an account with CampusDish, you will need to create one to place your order.  Think of it as any e-commerce site (such as Amazon or Ebay) where you have to create an account to be permitted to submit an order.  Please follow these steps:

1. Begin at www.virginia.edu/dining
   (Please note:  CampusDish supports only Internet Explorer and Firefox on the Mac.  Safari is not a supported browser.)
   You will create a new account.  Click the Login button on the top right side of the screen.  On the login screen, click on "create a new acccount."  (For password rules, please follow the onscreen instructions.)  When you have completed the form, click on the Create Account button.  You will be taken to the Welcome to Your Account page.
   
2. In the Manage Addresses section (bottom left button) select "Click here to edit your addresses."  Click on the New Address button on the bottom right side of the screen and enter your address.  (An address must be created for order tracking and confirmation purposes only.)
   
3. After you have added and saved your address, click on Gift Baskets on the top navigation bar.
   
4. Click on the Something From Home image (top left side of the screen).
   
5. Select a product.  For cake and card wording, please put all instructions in the comments box.
   
6. Click the Add Item To Cart button next to the product.
   
7. On the Shopping Cart page, verify your intended purchase and click the Checkout button.
   
8. On the Recipient Information page you can change the delivery date to desired day.  Remember, Something From Home is only available Monday-Friday.  All bakery items need to be ordered 72 business hours ahead.
   
9. When you have completed your online purchase(s), click on Gift Baskets on the tope navigation bar and select Logout on the top left side of the screen.
   
   Please note:  The UVA Student ID number is not required to place an order from Something From Home.
