Dining Plans
 All of our dining plans are based in the three dining rooms and offer excellent value, a wide variety of choices, flexibility, and all-you-care-to-eat dining. Each dining plan includes Plus Dollars for use in the food courts, coffee shops and convenience stores, and all dining plans offer a great package deal. Ready to sign up for a 08-09 dining plan?
- Incoming first year students: the deadline to sign up for your dining plan has been extended to July 28th.
- Please print these handy Instructions and begin the process by setting up an account online.
- To complete the sign-up process online, you will need your UVA ID number. First year students can access their UVA ID number online by following these steps. a) Visit the following webpage (https://whois.virginia.edu/cgi-local/whois_wrap?pg2) to open the online authentication form in a new window. b) Complete the form by choosing Central Mail Service from the drop down field when it asks you to Select a system on which you have a valid account (use your email account password in the final field). c) Below your name at the top of the screen is your UVA ID number.

Fall and Spring Semester Changes:
2008-2009 dining plan members may upgrade to a dining plan with more weekly or semester meals at any time. To reduce a dining plan, members must notify Dining during the semester change periods, no later than Spetember 2, 2008 for fall semester and between December 8, 2008 - January 20, 2009 for spring semester. To request a change to a 2008-2009 dining plan, visit the Dining Plan Change Request Form.
Cavalier Advantage: You can always charge your meal to your Cavalier Advantage account.
Guest Meals Bring a friend to a meal: Guest meals are a specified feature of all week-based dining plans; semester-based dining plans can be used at any time to host a guest.
Casual Meal Rate We welcome all guests to any meal in the dining rooms. The 2008-2009 Casual Meal Rate below applies to those who are not dining on a dining plan or guest meal pass.

Please note: These prices are pre-tax. Plus Dollars are not taxed. Cash and Cavalier Advantage purchases are subject to the 9 percent combined state and county taxes.

Plus Dollars are included in all dining plans, and can be used in any UVA cash dining location for food purchases, such as Chick-fil-A at Pavilion XI or Freshens Smoothie from Poolside Cafe or Pavilion XI. If you run out of meals on your dining plan, you can even use your Plus Dollars in the dining rooms. You can add Additional Plus Dollars to your dining plan at any time in person at the Dining Services Office, by completing an orange "Add Plus Dollars" form at any dining cash stand, or online by clicking on the "Sign Up Now!" link in the upper left side of this webpage and choosing the "Plus Dollar" option. Plus Dollars are not available to non-dining plan participants.

Festive Meals and Change of Pace Events: Once a month we schedule a full blown special event, with a theme menu, decorations, live music, and prizes. Other times we'll surprise you with a smaller, delicious event.
Pan Geos-Fresh World Flavors: Each dining hall has its own version of this global dining concept, featuring fresh in-season food prepared for you on the spot.

Everyone is in a hurry sometimes; if it happens at mealtime, we've got you covered in both residential and retail locations. Look for "Hoos' in a Hurry" at the dining rooms and for "Fresh Flavors to Go" coolers in the retail locations for good food packaged to go.
