What is the MONARCH PLUS Account?
The Monarch Plus Account is a prepaid debit account designed for the Old Dominion University Community. The account is placed directly on your University ID Card. Participation is open to any student, faculty or staff member.

The Account is great for students who live on and off campus. It provides the flexibility and convenience of a debit card to use at on-campus facilities. It's flexible because you add money as you need it and convenient because you don't need to carry cash or visit an ATM every time you need lunch money. Safety and Convenience.
The University ID Card, which accesses your Account, is safe and convenient. Since your Monarch Plus Account is a debit account, you never need a machine to access your account.

Plus it gives you the security of not having to carry cash around on campus. Your University ID Card has your picture on it so you'll never need to worry about anybody using your card except you.

Monarch Plus Rewards.
New for this year, Monarch Plus users will earn points for each dollar they spend at participating Monarch Plus locations. Currently, you can earn points at all of the off-campus locations. Generally speaking, each dollar spent off campus earns you 15 points in the program. You can redeem your points for various items such as $10 gift certificates from national brands like Best Buy, Chili's, Abercrombie & Fitch and more. These $10 gift cards can be redeemed for 10,500 points, or you can use 21,000 to get a $25 gift certificate. Besides gift cards you can earn movie tickets to AMC (6,000 points per ticket), magazine subscriptions (to Rolling Stone, Cosmo, or ESPN for 14,500 points) and even charitable contributions. What Dining Services locations accept Monarch Plus?
The answer is quite simple, ALL. Every Monarch Dining Services location proudly accepts Monarch Plus accounts for your purchase. Whether you are purchasing retail items like a Starbucks Latte, burger and fries from Grilleworks or an all-you-care-to eat meal at any of our RFoC on campus, you can use your Monarch Plus account. No purchase is too large or too small. If you are out of meals for the week, Monarch Plus is a great way to supplement an additional meal or two during the semester.

Just present your University ID Card at any location on campus that accepts the Account, make your purchase, and your account is automatically debited.

There are no transaction or set-up fees and no minimum balance requirements. You simply save money!
