HOW DOES THE MEAL PLAN WORK?
Meal plans are geared specifically to give the student better dining value for your dollar.  The plan consists of two main features: Defined Meals and Flex Dollars

Defined Meals:
Defined Meals are money saving complete Breakfasts, Lunches, and Dinners that you may use throughout the semester. Simply present your meal card as you exit the servery in Patriot Hall and the meal will be deducted from the balance in your account.

Breakfast, which is served from open till 10:30 a.m. consists of:

  • 1 Breakfast Entree  -- Eggs, Belgian Waffle, Mountie Breakfast Sandwich, Breakfast Wrap, Omelet, or Cereal
  • 2 Breakfast Sides -- Tater Tots, Hash Browns, Bacon, or Sausage
  • Breakfast Bread -- Bagel, Muffin, Danish, Pancakes, or Cereal
  • Hot Beverage
  • Cold Fountain Beverage

Lunch, which is served from 10:30 a.m. till 4:00 p.m. consists of:

  • 1 Lunch Entree -- Hot "Home Zone" Entree, Wrap, Deli Sandwich, Entree-sized Salad, "Vegin' Out" Vegitarian Option or Grilled Entree
  • 1 Lunch Side -- French Fries, Chips, Vegetables, etc.
  • Soup, Side Salad, or Dessert
  • Hot Beverage
  • Cold Fountain Beverage

Dinner, which is served from 4:30 p.m. till 7:30 p.m. consists of:

  • 1 Dinner Entree -- Featured "Favorite" Entree, Hot "Home Zone" Entree, Wrap, Deli Sandwich, Entree-Sized Salad, "Veggin' Out" Vegitarian Option, or Grilled Entree
  • 2 Dinner Sides -- French Fries, Chips, Vegetables, etc.
  • Soup or Side Salad
  • 1 Dessert
  • Hot Beverage
  • Cold Fountain Beverage


Flex Dollars:
Flex Dollars are funds that can be used to purchase various items at any of the dining and retail venues on campus. The Flex dollar portion of your meal plan is intended to be used to purchase items or meals not covered by your specific meal plan. The funds on your Flex account can also be used to purchase items at our consession stands during sporting events and late night meals in our cafe.  Students can even use their Flex dollars to stock their dorm room with snack items, house hold supplies, and other day-to-day items from our convenience store.  Flex dollars offer a student the flexibility to use their meal plan when his or her busy schedule allows.

    The cost of all plans is $3057.50 per semester

  • 21+ Plan
    • 21 meals per week, $50 in Flex $'s
    • Consists of 7 Breakfasts, 7 Lunches, & 7 Dinners for the week
    • $50 in Flex to be used for any additional food purchases
  • 14+ Plan
    • 14 meals per week, $475 in Flex $'s
    • Consists of 7 Breakfasts & 7 Dinners for the week
    • $475 in Flex to be used for any additional food purchases
  • 7+ Plan
    • 7 meals per week, $985 in Flex $'s
    • Consists of 7 Dinners for the week
    • $985 in Flex to be used for any additional food purchases
  • 5+ Plan
    • 5 meals per week, $1165 in Flex $'s
    • Consists of 5 Dinners for the week
    • $1165 in Flex to be used for any additional food purchases


OTHER OPTIONAL ACCOUNTS
What are pre-paid accounts?
Mount Money declining balance pre-paid service accounts accessed with your MOUNTcard. These accounts provide students with the convenience to make purchases without having to carry cash on campus.

Add on Flex
Flex Dollars accounts are also available to commuter students and Apartment residents who are not required to have a meal plan.   Other Students that have meal plans may add additional flex dollars to the accounts if they exhaust the funds that originally came with their plan. 
Mount Money
A Mount Money Account gives the student the flexibility to purchase just about anything they need on campus, from textbooks to registering a vehicle. Mount Money accounts are optional and carry over from one semester to the next and from year to year. Students can get a full refund when they graduate or withdraw from the University. Mount Money used in the dining area is subject to the 6% sales tax.
