JCU Dining “Foodictionary”

  • Unlimited Meal Plan
The ultimate plan and best value with JCU Dining. An unlimited number of meals you can use per week for an entire semester with unlimited access to Schott Dining Hall as often as you would like.
  • Weekly Meal Plan
A specific number of meals you can use each week for an entire semester. This plan resets weekly.
  • Block Meal Plan
A specific number of meals you can use any time during the semester. This plan resets each semester.
  • Plus Points
Plus Points are a number of points (dollars) that vary with each meal plan purchased. Plus Points are accepted at all JCU Dining locations. They can’t be replenished but you can add money to your Flex Point or Carroll Cash account at any time. Unused Plus Points will roll over to the spring semester as long as you continue to be a meal plan member. You will lose unused Plus Points at the end of the academic year.
  • Flex Dollars
Flex Dollars is a prepaid debit account that can be used as cash at any Dining Service location on campus. It is available to the entire campus community. Commuters and off-campus students can eat anywhere with this account. Faculty and staff can eat a hot lunch everyday on campus without having to worry about carrying cash. It is convenient to everyone since the account is accessed through your university ID and unlike Carroll Cash, Flex Dollars are tax free. Additionally, Flex Dollars roll over from semester to semester through the school year so there is no risk in purchasing Flex Dollars. To purchase Flex Dollars, stop by the Dining Services office on the bottom floor of the D.J Lombardo Student Center.
  • Carroll Cash (www.jcu.edu/carrollcard)
The Carroll Cash account works like a debit account that can be used in conjunction with the Meal Plan to offer added convenience. Students have the option of putting money on their card and then using it to make food purchases in dining locations, the bookstore, vending machines and many other locations. (See website for a full listing.)
