It’s no longer a question of WHY be a meal plan. The question is WHY WOULD YOU NOT want to be a meal plan!?!
Along with some of the basic reasons to sign up...
- The security of knowing that you will be able to eat while on campus
- Never having to worry about cooking or doing the dishes
- The convenience, flexibility and peace of mind of having a meal plan
…we are giving even MORE reasons!
In 2011Widener Dining renovated and opened the brand new Pride Café – our state-of-the-art residential dining facility offering all-you-care-to-eat dining in a comfortable, exciting atmosphere.
In the Fall of 2012, we took the Widener Dining program to another level with the opening of the Macmorland Food Court which will be located on the main level of the University Center. It offers SUBWAY, Burger Studio and P.O.D. Market!
To make sure you have the necessary funds, flexibility and convenience to enjoy these amazing new dining venues, we are introducing an all new meal plan structure providing resident and off-campus students some of the most valuable and flexible meal plans available.
How Do They Work?
Meal plans are designed to make your life simpler! Depending on the meal plan option selected, you will have a balance of MEALS and/or DINING DOLLARS to use at our on campus dining locations. These funds are programmed directly to your Campus1 ID Card.
MEALS are used for entrance to the Pride Cafe, our all-you-care-to-eat dining facility located on the first floor of the University Center.
DECLINING DOLLARS work just like a debit card. Each meal plan includes a pre-determined balance of Dining Dollars (DD). Each time a food purchase is made using DDs, the total cost of your meal is subtracted from the balance - dollar for dollar, penny for penny. This balance will decrease with each subsequent purchase until the balance is zero. DDs can be used at your discretion throughout the Fall and Spring semesters and are accepted at every on campus dining location - including the Pride Cafe.
What Are My Meal Plan Choices?
