Students living on campus will be offered one of the three Meal Membership Plans listed below, based on class status.  Commuter students may select any one of these Plans.  The Plans zero-out at the end of each semester and do not roll-over to the following semester.  The Declining Balance Dollar Only Plans roll-over from the Fall to the Spring semester in the same academic year.  The magnetic stripe on your student ID card electronically identifies you as a Dining Member.  Students must present their Student ID Card in order to access their accounts.

Meal Allowances:

  • Are the "meals" component of your Plan and can be used only in the McNelis Commons Dining Hall.  They can only be used only for the student whose Membership it is and not for any other student, family member or friend.
  • You get to enjoy "all-you-care-to-eat" meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday through Friday, and brunch and dinner on Saturday and Sunday.
  • You receive a set number of "meals" per semester or per week. Everytime you enter the Dining Hall, a meal is deducted from your account.

Declining Balance Dollars:

  • Are the "Dollar" portion of the first two Plans and can be used at both the McNelis Commons Dining Hall and the Spartan Grille, for yourself, family members and friends.
  • Additonal "DB" Dollars can be added anytime when you are running low.
  • Each time you make a purchase, the amount is deducted and you can check your balance every time you use your Student ID Card.
  • There are also DB Dollar Only Plans for commuters who may not want to select any of the Meal Membership Plans that involve "meals" for the Dining Hall only.

Meal Membership Plans:

The 75 Semester Plus
(Resident Students carrying 60 credits or more may select any one of the three Meal Membership Plans listed; Commuter Students may also choose any Plan listed):

  • Plan A gives you the minimum amount of meal coverage with 75 "meals" per semester (that comes out to roughly 5 meals per week) which can only be used in the McNelis Commons Dining Hall for those great "all-you-care-to-eat" meals.
  • Plan A also provides you an additional $300 in DB Dollars.  This can be used at either the McNelis Commons Dining Hall or the Spartan Grille.

The 15 Weekly Plus (Resident Students carrying between 30 and 59 credits may select either the 15 Weekly Plus or the Ultimate Membership); as previously stated, Commuter Students may choose any Plan listed):

  • Plan B gives you excellent meal coverage with 15 meals per week which, as stated earlier, can only be used in the McNelis Commons Dining Hall.
  • Plan B also provides you an additional $125 in DB Dollars, to be used at either the McNelis Commons Dining Hall or the Spartan Grille.

The Ultimate Membership (Resident Students carrying 29 credits or less are offered this Plan; Commuter Students may also choose this Plan):

  • Plan C gives you the maximum amount of meal coverage with "Open Access" to the McNelis Commons Dining Hall anytime during operational hours for any of the meals provided.
  • Plan C does not provide additional DB Dollars.

Declining Dollar Only Plans:

  • Offers flexibility to Commuter Students who may choose not to select one of the Meal Membership Plans above. The money that is deposited will roll-over from the Fall to Spring semesters, and will zero-out at the end of the school year.
  • The Platinum Plan gives you $525 DB Dollars for a $500 payment
  • The Gold Plan gives you $420 DB Dollars for a $400 payment
  • The Silver Plan gives you $315 DB Dollars for a $300 payment.
