Meet Jerome Grochocki
Executive Chef, Hill House/King's Court

Chef Grochocki’s story begins in Detroit Michigan where he was born and raised.  He began his journey in the culinary arts in the year 1970.  Chef Grochocki was a junior in high school when he discovered his strong passion for food. After his first cooking class, he knew what he would do for a living.  Although, it was not until 1981 that he took his first cooking job.

At the Plymouth Hilton Inn in Northville, Michigan, Chef Grochocki began as a cook and worked his way up the kitchen ladder.  He found this job to be one of the best experiences in his early career.

From there he went to the Sheraton Inn in Waco, Texas, where he worked for a year as the Executive Chef. He then moved to San Antonio, Texas, and worked as Executive Chef for the Emily Morgan Hotel.   In 1986 he relocated to Frankfort, Kentucky where he took the position of Executive Chef for the Capital Plaza Hotel.   In 1987, Chef Grochocki moved to Delaware, accepting the position of Executive Chef at the Wilmington Christiana Hilton.  Chef Grochocki was employed as the Executive Chef for the Christiana Hilton for the past 18 years. He joined the ARAMARK team in the spring of 2006, bringing his talents and experiences to the campus community of Penn. He was constantly challenged with running a busy kitchen, organizing banquets, wine tastings, parties and creating ice sculptures for special events.   It is these aspects of the job that he truly loves. He enjoys family life, music and gardening.    His staff is well trained, and he looks forward to growing in his careerr as a chef, helping future chefs obtain their goals.
